Wheelsets as a key component of the crane traveling mechanism, that its quality is good or bad will have a significant impact on its usage, GB / T6392-2008 has special regulation for its chemical composition of materials, mechanical properties, heat treatment mode, hardness, surface quality and precision. Crane wheels are relatively easily damaged components. Based on the crane use characteristics, it requires wheel tread with high hardness, and have some quench-hardened case depth and transition layer (depth>10mm, hardness HRC40-48), so that improve its performance of carrying capacity, wear resistance& contact fatigue resistance. At the same time, it requires its matrix organization to have good mechanical properties &good organizational status, the hardness shall reach HBS187 ~ 229, so that it has high toughness, improving impact resistance and cracking resistance performance.
